How to install windows 10 Technical Preview in Virtualbox!
Hey guys!
So as the title says, this post will be for installing Windows 10 Technical Preview in Virtualbox (MS brought back the Start Menu!).
First, install Virtualbox and create a new VM (Name: Any, OS: Windows 8.1, RAM: 2GB min, create a virtual harddisk - Type: any, Dynamically Allocated, 100GB)
Next, Sign up for Windows Insider and download the Windows 10 Technical Preview ISO: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/preview-iso
Once downloaded, run the VM and when prompted to choose a boot medium, browse to the downloaded ISO file and select it.
Wait for it to boot and once booted, follow the instructions to install on the virtual harddisk. Once complete, it will reboot.
Congratulations! You have installed Windows 10 Technical Preview!
